Repetition, triangles, texture, and an interesting point of view make up this photo. Towards the bottom there are many arches going across, and many lines that are perpendicular to the arches that add to the repetition. Triangles are created on the roof to the right and there is also texture within the stones making up the building. This picture was taken at eye level on a very large hill, large enough to have a whole town on it. I was very high up which is why you can see a lot in the middlegroud and background. There is a bit of a mysterious mood to this photo because you can easily see what is right in front but as the photo extends farther and farther away, more and more is obscured by a misty fog, and then all that is left are the mountains.

This photo has many qualities including depth of field, texture, and the rule of thirds. Texture is clearly seen on the wooden post, which is in focus compared to the docks in the background. The sky, docks, and post also make up he rule of thirds horizontally. It was taken up close to the post and at the same level. Serenity comes to mind for the mood. Watching the water as the sun sets on the horizon in Bristol is an ideal peaceful place.

I chose this photo for the lighting and the subject matter. It was taken low to the ground and close up to the cow while she was sticking her head through the fence. The boards of the fence create a visual frame around her head, while at the same time show the scenery of a farm in the background. There are obvious color contrasts with her black and white spots. Although this was taken in the fall, it personally gives me a nostalgic feeling of summertime. It was taken at Simcock Farms in the late afternoon, which was a typically common place and time for my family and I to get ice cream and look at the animals there during the summer when I was younger.
